Getting better

Well another one which is correct but like many in this store: overpriced! A Costieres de Nimes as many of this area you can find at the Wine House. Reputation of this wine production area (South-West of Cotes du Rhone) is not one of the best but if you're lucky you can find the good nectar.

The Dirty one of the Dozen

Well I feel that I start this serie with the worse bottles of the dozen but this one is really not an affair! At more than $10 retail price, it's just good for cooking or marinade eventually. Not pleasant at all, with all the great cheap wine in France I'm wondering where they found this one?!

Wine House

To have access to a wider variety of wine and in addition to the usual place I will continue to go in the Bay Area, I got for a few months now the "Dirty Dozen" at
The Wine House in San Francisco. As its names suggests there are 12 bottles of different wines but they are not all dirty. Some are unfortunatly and for those the "bargain" price becomes racket...but if we don't try, we won't know, right?! This one especially Lalande Chardonnay is not great but I'm not at all amateur of Chardonnnay so I may be wrong ;-)

Affordable bubbles

The Prosecco from Trader Joe is ideal for cheap celebrations...at something like $5.99 it doesn't have much competition in the sparkling wine sector. Add some cassis liquor or rose syrop and you have a royal aperitif.
